Are we in a “New Normal” yet?
For us, we both work at home so the dust is beginning to settle,
but there are still a lot of changes we haven’t anticipated. John
has started a new organizational program and Emily has been adding
more veggies to her meals and trying to be more mindful about why
she finds herself in the kitchen.
We talk a lot about our current
situations, which as you may know if you’re listening to this
around the time it comes out, is the COVID-19 social distancing
stuff. It’s important to mention, as we do every episode, we are
not doctors. Please refer to the CDC website guidelines for information or any questions you may
have.
New to Hate to Weight? Make sure
you’re subscribed so you’ll never miss an

Don’t forget, you can talk to us
and other Weighters while we record by going to the Hate to Weight
Discussion Group on Facebook. We record every Thursday at 11
a.m.!

We are not doctors. Please talk
to your doctor before trying any new diet or exercise routine. We
try our hardest to link to useful resources we have mentioned. If
you have any questions, please email hatetoweight@gmail.com.
In This Episode:
- Are
we coming out of this yet? (Not for us. We’re both staying in as
much as possible.)
- Are
you already sick of “New Normal” usage? For us, the dust is
starting to settle for us.
- John
has begun an organizational program by Carl Pullein (see links
below!)
- John
and Emily both have ADHD and are always learning how to navigate
with it, which has been a part of our weight problems, as
well.
- We
apologize for the delay in episodes lately. We are fixing it as
fast as we can and we thank you so much for your patience with
us.
- There
are so many things in our lives that we are trying to optimize to
help us become more productive with our time. For some people,
productivity can bog them down. But for us, we really appreciate
routines and systems.
- John
gives his breakfast frittata recipe! Check it out!
- Emily
loves the idea of being proactive before being
reactive.
- “Everybody has a routine and until your routine
becomes a habit, you gotta keep working at it.” — This week’s
John-spiration!
- Sometimes, we just want a Food Hug.
- “What
kind of comfort am I looking for?” — Emily when she finds herself
in the kitchen.
- John
will hopefully give us more Geese Updates!
- Emily
has decided this week to add more veggies to her diet this week and
getting more mindful with her eating, as well.
- One
routine that’s probably NOT good for us is our cereal-eating
routine.
- We
get into a discussion about masks. We’re pro-mask, by the
way.
- Emily’s declarations: No tomatoes as a default
and please stay 6 feet away!
- Woo-hoo for the #WinningWednesday
posts!
- What
do you think about a plank challenge? Let us know in the
Hate to Weight Discussion Group on
Facebook! Have you
joined yet? → https://www.facebook.com/groups/413099472471015/
- Later, Weighters!
We’d love to hear your scale and
non-scale victories! Come celebrate your wins over in the
Hate to Weight Discussion Group on
Facebook!
